After graduating from Flathead High School in 2013, Dylan attended Mayville State University in North Dakota. He handled all the kicking, punting and kickoff duties for the Comets and led the North Star Athletic Association in gross punting average for the 2013 season. He then transferred to Carroll College to be closer to home and proceeded to become a three year starter at Punter and handled the kicking duties his Senior year as well earning All-Frontier Conference recognition and multiple Player of the Week honors. He led the NAIA in Net punting average in 2016, and led the frontier conference in that category each season he was a starter (2015-2017). He also was 5th in the NAIA in field goal percentage his final year.
After his collegiate playing career, Dylan had a couple workouts with pro teams and was also an assistant football coach at Carroll College working with the kickers, punters and long snappers.
In the Summer of 2019, Coach Torgerson started Torgerson Kicking & Punting, with the goal of providing young specialists of Montana and the Northwest something he didn't have when he was growing up, private individual kicking coaching and mentoring. Over his life, Coach Torgerson has either worked or trained with NFL, all levels of college and dozens of High School specialists along with dozens of kicking and punting coaches. He combines that knowledge and experiencewith his passion for helping the generations that follow him into his coaching each and every time he is on the field. His objective is to have each player reach and surpass the goals they have for themselves and become true assets to their team on and off the field.
Coach Torgerson, his wife Veronica and their son Huck reside in Helena, MT.
